Ernst & Young Function Ceremony Thing

sooooo i guess u've all read shirley and huoy min's version of that night eh? haha...WELL here's what i thought of it....

tuesday 1 august 2006 started with me missing the bus to uni and then my dad racing the bus all the way to leach highway where the bus stopped to pick up people and i quickly ran out of my dads car and got on to the bus...phew ...that got my adrenaline pumping lol.

got to uni- OMFG soooooo boring ! especially marketing tute...urgh.
anyway, i had 3 tutes and they were all boring but tolerable i guess.

and then my mum came to pick me up and took me to shirleys! ALL day, the only thing i was looking 4ward to was the function!! i was so excited!! but not as excited as huoy min of course lol.

arrived at shirley's house and then yeh just chilled and talked (abt lipgloss LOL) and then changed and then huoy min came! we were all about to go, but then me and shirley decided we wanted to put eyeliner on, cos we saw huoy min with it haha. then shirley's sister took a picture of us and we were off!

we walked to the bus stop and waited for the bus- i cudnt stop laughing because it was so cool! its not like we wud ever get an opportunity to dress up like business people and go to the city to get an award!
we got to the bus stop and then yeh, rest is boring, or u cud just read shirleys bit on how we sat at busport and went to boost.

got into ernst&young building, met in lobby, shook glen hutchings hand, went in lift with glen hutchings, came out of the lifts and was hit with this really really nice view of the riverrrrr!!!! it was soooooooo pretttty!!!!
then we went into this room with like clear windows all arnd and u cud see the new subway thingo that they're building.
then we mingled...i pigged out on the food- man the food was so goooood! don't listen to shirley at it all being 'too gourmet', the food was awesome! i wish i wud have taken pictures of the food. oh yeh! did u know ernst&young hav their own water??? LOL i scabbed two bottles muahahahaha.
ok, then after some mingling with the hot indian guy we sat down and waited for the awards. my grp members sat at the front, i was like OMG! how embarrasing, i dont want to sit at the front!
some important ppl sed some stuff and then they started giving out the certificates. all these ppl were getting bronze and i was thinking...cool...so far so good...just a few more ppl and we might make it to silver...but noooo they called out one of my grp members and i was like DAMN! lol haha but nah it was still good.
then we mingled more and i ate more food and my grp member paul took pictures and i forced huoy min to take some with me haha...
then me and hm went to shirleys grp and then some recruitment guy talked to us and then we left, leaving shirley longing to go bak and ask for the indian guys number lol.

ok, here is where the REAL fun started! as u know we planned to go gelare, but after walking a mile and getting lost and then finally finding gelare, it turned out to be CLOSED! urgh. shirley was walking with her grp and me and hm were walking a fair distance ahead. but then we all ended up walking the same pace after it started to pour down with rain. thats when the guys decided to get theit cars and stuff. someone asked me and huoy min who we wanted to go with and then i asked which once wud b the one getting less wet? and they sed following sean wud be the dryest option-
HAHA...soooo WRONG!
me, hm and sean got sooo drenched! ahhaha but it was sooooo fun (and dangerous) running in the rain! sean was ahead of us and me and hm were like lagging behind, trying not to get run over when crossing the roads. it was SO FAR getting to his car, but it was worth it, cos his car is SO COOL. me and hm had to squish into one seat cos it was a ute, but a very HOT ute! lol. i was kinda scared tht we might get pulled over by cops, but sean didnt seem to be fussed by tht possibility at all.
anyways, the most scariest part of tht time was when we already met up with the others and sean was following kat and cale was following sean. we were getting near the light and then we see these cops stopping cars and shining torches in the cars. i was starting to FREAK OUT! lol so i kinda squeezed down in the leg space but u cud still c my head if the cops were going to be looking in the car. at this stage i was rather scared yet excited haha and hm looked rather panicky too (not sure though...). sean was calm but then sed tht i shud get out and go into cale and shirley's car behind while the cops werent looking. lol. i hesitated, but then opened the door and quickly ran to their car haha. i rmb shirley opening the lock and me jumping in like there was no tomorrow haha! that was soooo fun yet quite scary at the same time.
later when we were near the freeway i wanted to get bak into sean's car eventhough it was a 2-seater, but it was warmer and just newer and smelled better lol. so when we got to the traffic lights i got out of cales car and ran forward bak into seans car to join huoy min in our seat. hahahaha.

hmm...i cbb typing anymore...and theres so much more to go lol, and i bet peope hav already gotten sick of it and hav clicked to someone else's blog lol. ok i'll just summarise the best bits.

went to kats house, it was so cute, kinda makes me wish tht i cud live in student housing...but then i'd have to cook and clean alll by myselfff urgh. ate pizza, watched rove and then shirley and hm left me. i felt kinda scared for being there with strangers, but sean and cale r sooo funnny! we played all these random card games, tht wud have been funner with alcohol, but oh well we had uni the next morning! i asked if they wanted to play big2 and they were like WTH is that?!?! and then so i showed them and they go- ohhhhh that game! its called 'asshole'....i wasnt sure if they were taking the piss or if they were serious lol. but they seemed serious haha. so we played 'asshole' which is SIMILAR to big2 but there are some different rules...i'll show u one day haha after tht we talked abt TEE. LOL. then kat got back from driving hm and shirley home and we played more card games. cale and sean played battleships while me and kat played snap.
and then basically, we just talked abt random stuff....with the guys occasionally bursting out into laughter over 'warm water' and 'the matrix'.

then time to go home. cale drove me home..well not all the way but just til thornlie and then we swapped. hahaha can u believe it?!?!?! he let me drive his mums car!!!! i only met him tht night and he let me drive even when i told him i failed my test for speeding! so i was driving in the rain and in the dark...its so cool. but when i was reversing out of the driveway we pulled in at, i didnt see the tree/shrub/letterbox behind us and i reversed into it. LOL. it made a huge bumping noise and i was like oh shiiit....haha. cale went out of the car to see the damage i had done while i panicked in the car. he came arnd saying tht there is this huge dent at the back! faaarrrrrrrk! haha but then he sed he was only joking. so i went to the bak to see and there truly was a dent!!! a little one. but i'm not sure if i did it or not....he sed tht it was already there....hmm...i duno....=/ shiit feel soo baaaaad.

and then yeh, i drove bak to my hse, stalling once in the rain cos i was scared of this truck tht i had to give way to. got home at 11.45ish. lol.

ooookaaaaaaay i think if u have read til here, u have a HUGE attention span. i wasnt going to finish it but huoy min sed i shud...so i have. lol.

overall, i had a fantastic time and wished we cud do it again!

(also, i find that aussie guys are so much more laid back and calm than asian guys. asian guys r more uptight and stuff haha. mayb i'm generalising...oh well) i neeeed to sleeeep nows.
